How do I find the sound used in a TikTok?
Tap the spinning record or the sound name at the bottom of the TikTok to open the sound page and see what TikTok calls the audio. If that name is a real song, you are done. If it says Original Sound or a creator's name, paste the video link into the finder on this page to identify the song playing in it.

A TikTok sound is not always a song
Every TikTok has a sound, but the sound's name is whatever the first person who posted it chose. Some sounds are released songs with the proper title and artist. Many are named Original Sound followed by a username, even when a well-known song is playing.
So there are two different questions: what TikTok calls the sound, and which song is in it. The sound page answers the first. A song finder answers the second.
Steps
- Open the video and tap the sound name or spinning record at the bottom right to read the sound's name.
- If the name is not a song, go back, tap Share, then Copy link.
- Paste the link into the finder above to get the song title and artist.
When no song comes back
- The creator recorded the audio themselves, so there is no released song to match.
- The music is buried under talking, or heavily sped up, slowed, or mashed up.
- The song has not been released yet.
A no-match result does not use a credit.
